				<html:p>WHEREAS, Harminder Grewal was sworn in as a Police Officer with the City of Galt Police Department on February 25, 2019; and </html:p>

				<html:p>WHEREAS, Officer Grewal had an immediate impact during his short career with the Galt Police Department, where his desire to do the best he could each day resulted in awards in his first full year; and </html:p>

				<html:p>WHEREAS, Officer Grewal was awarded Officer of the Year, a selection by his peers for his work ethic and integrity, which inspired others to perform at their highest levels; and </html:p>

				<html:p>WHEREAS, Officer Grewal was awarded the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) award for 2020 based on the number of DUI arrests he made that year; and </html:p>

				<html:p>WHEREAS, Officer Grewal served the Galt Police Officers Association as Treasurer, and he was near completion of his bachelor’s degree; and </html:p>

				<html:p>WHEREAS, On Sunday, August 22, 2021, after two and a half years of exemplary service to the City of Galt, Officer Grewal was traveling northbound on State Highway 99 on his way to assist with the Caldor Fire in El Dorado County; and </html:p>

				<html:p>WHEREAS, Just north of Dillard Road in Sacramento County, a pickup truck traveling southbound on State Highway 99 hit the center median, broke through a barrier, and entered the northbound lanes, striking the patrol vehicle head-on and causing grievous injuries to Officer Grewal; and </html:p>

				<html:p>WHEREAS, Officer Grewal ultimately succumbed to those injuries on Thursday, August 26, 2021; and </html:p>
