Existing law imposes various requirements on social media platforms, including, among other things, requiring platforms to post terms of service, disclose threat reporting procedures in their terms of service, and maintain a law enforcement contact process, as specified.

This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to establish a minimum age requirement to open or maintain a social media account.
