Existing law establishes the Governor’s Military Council that advises the Governor on efforts to retain military installations and operations within the state. Under existing law, members of the council are appointed by the Governor and include bipartisan representatives from the Senate and Assembly, as specified. Existing law repeals the law establishing the council on January 1, 2026.

This bill would extend the repeal date for those provisions until January 1, 2031.
