<html:p>Existing law establishes the State Park and Recreation Commission consisting partly of 9 members appointed by the Governor, subject to confirmation by the Senate. Existing law specifies that each appointed member serves a 4-year term, except as provided. Existing law requires the commission to perform certain actions regarding the state park system. Existing law provides that, in case of a vacancy, the appointment to fill the vacancy is for the remainder of the unexpired term.</html:p>
<html:p>This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to this latter provision.</html:p>

<html:p>In case of a vacancy, the appointment to fill the vacancy shall be for the remainder of the unexpired term. All appointments of members made when the Legislature is not in session shall be subject to confirmation by the Senate at the next regular or special session of the Legislature.</html:p>
