<ns0:Title> An act to repeal Section 1632.6 of the Business and Professions Code, relating to healing arts. </ns0:Title>
<ns0:RelatingClause>healing arts</ns0:RelatingClause>
<ns0:GeneralSubject>
<ns0:Subject>Dentistry: licensure.</ns0:Subject>
</ns0:GeneralSubject>
<ns0:DigestText>
<html:p>Existing law, the Dental Practice Act, establishes the Dental Board of California to license and regulate the practice of dentistry, and establishes requirements for the admission to, and practice of, dentistry. Prior existing law required an applicant for licensure to have taken and received a passing score on either a portfolio examination of the applicant’s competence to enter the practice of dentistry or a clinical and written examination administered by the Western Regional Examining Board.</html:p>
<html:p> Existing law required the board to review the portfolio examination to ensure the portfolio examination met specified requirements, required the board to report the result of that review to the Legislature, as specified, and made those provisions inoperative on December 1, 2020.</html:p>
<html:p>This bill would repeal those
inoperative provisions.</html:p>
