segments of public postsecondary education in the state.</html:p>
<html:p>This bill would require the California Community Colleges and the California State University, and would request the University of California, before providing an artificial intelligence product to students, faculty, or staff, to provide a training to students, faculty, or staff on the use of the product, as provided.</html:p>

<html:p>The California Community Colleges and the California State University shall, and the University of California is requested to, before providing an artificial intelligence tool, program, or application to students, faculty, or staff, provide a training to students, faculty, or staff on the use of the product, including, but not limited to, relevant policies concerning the use of artificial intelligence and a disclosure of privacy policies for the artificial intelligence product.</html:p>
