<html:p>Existing law prohibits a city, county, city and county, or local law enforcement agency from entering into a contract with the federal government or any federal agency to house or detain noncitizens in a locked detention facility owned and operated by a local entity for purposes of civil immigration custody.</html:p>
<html:p>This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to prevent state property and facilities from being used by federal immigration enforcement agents.</html:p>
