<html:p>Under existing law, the Department of Consumer Affairs is comprised of various boards, bureaus, commissions, committees, and similarly constituted agencies that license and regulate the practice of various professions and vocations. Existing law authorizes the director to create an interdepartmental committee to assist and advise the director in the implementation of the director’s duties, as provided.</html:p>

<html:p>The director may create an interdepartmental committee to assist and advise the director in the implementation of the director’s duties. The members of the committee shall consist of the heads of state departments, or their designees.
Members of
the committee shall serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for the expenses actually and necessarily incurred by them in the performance of their duties.</html:p>
